A Special Invite
Invitation to Visit Majengo Orphanage Project
Hello;
My name is Lynn Connell, founder of the Majengo Orphanage Project and I reside in Toronto Canada. My involvement began in 2008 when we found 52 orphaned chldren under the care of a few locals in the back of someones house with a leaky roof and dirt floors. Today, the Majengo Orphanage Project supports 114 children. Pleawe visit out website to learn more. http://majengo.org/ .
My volunteer colleagues and I in North America and Africa woud like to extend a warm invitiation to the clients of Lion Dog African Safaris, to visit the Majengo Orphanage Project while on their African tour. The orphanage is very close to the main road into Lake Manyara, Serenegeti and Ngorongoro Parks, meaning that a visit to the orphanage can readily be incorporated into your tour itinerary. The visit will involve some brief interaction with the children and we do require that a visitation form be signed as part of the process.
These visits are very beneficial to the welfare of the children as they see that there are people who care about them and who will share their time with them, thus providing the children a valuable sense of importance. The tax deductable donation that is received during the visit goes a very long way to clothing, feeding, sheltering and educating these beautiful children. The benefits also extend to the people that visit the orphanage as well. The interaction with the children, be it in an arts and crafts activity or kicking a soccer ball around the grounds, is a wonderful opportunity to mix with the children at their level. After five minutes with these children you’ll be having just as much fun as they are having. For many of the people that visit the orpahange, it was the highlight of their entire African tour. It’s a win-win arrangement.
Please contact Lion Dog African Safaris to make arrangements for your visit, and look forward to meeting you in person.
Kind Regards
Lynn Connell
