Day 1 : You are arriving in Johannesburg International Airport and will overnight at the Southern Sun OR Tambo International Airport.

Day 2: From Johannesburg International airport your party will fly to Lusaka International airport where you will be met by a Lion Dog African Safari representative who will be holding up a sign with your last name displayed. Start of program. You will be driven to and overnight at the Wayside Bed and Breakfast. ( Breakfast only )

Day 3: Get picked up in morning and transferred to the Lower Zambezi Park for a three night/four day, island-hopping canoe safari through the middle Mana Pools flood plain region of the Lower Zambezi River Park .

Day 4: Canoe safari and overnight camping.

Day 5: Canoe safari and over night camping.

Day 6: Transfer to the city of Lusaka. Overnight again at the Wayside Bed and Breakfast.

Day 7 : Take an early morning flight to the town of Livingstone, Zambia and the Victoria Falls , the only waters falls in the world to be considered a natural wonder.You will be met at the airport by a representative holding up a placard with your last name who will transfer you to the Chundukwa River Lodge. ( Breakfast and dinner included).Although Chundukwa is not a game lodge, the Zambezi National Park is located just across the river, and lion and Hyena calls can often be heard at night. Rich birdlife is found in the area and hippo are regularly sighted (and heard) along the river’s edge.Fishing is good, with tiger fishing featuring prominently in the warmer months. Birding in and around the lodge is superb and provides a photographer’s paradise. A Guided Day trip to the Victoria Falls and a Sunset Cruise on the Zambezi are included in the stay. The lodge also offers canoe trips, from 1 hour to an overnight island trip. The neighbouring property offers horse trails for beginners and 1/2 day trips for more experienced riders. A short 2 kms from the lodge lies Mukay village where many of the lodge staff and their children live and are happy to share their customs and way of life with visitors. A bush walk to the village and back to the lodge is a lovely way to spend an afternoon.

Day 8 , 9 and  10: Prior arrangements can be made by Lion Dog African Safaris for all the various things to see and do in the Victoria Falls area, or you may inquire at the front hotel desk to make on the spot arrangements. Prior arrangements are recommended for some attractions depending on the season. For the adventurous types; there is swimming at the Devil’s pool, class V white water rafting, river boarding, bungee jumping, zip lining, gorge swinging, flights over the Falls, quad biking, etc. For the animal lover types; there is elephant bush rides, encounters with rescued lions, horse riding, bird watching, rhino walks, etc.  For the casual and romantic types; there is a lunar rainbow phenomenon to witness, a drink or tea while looking over the Falls, enjoying a sundowner from a cruise boat, fine dining, shopping, Livingstone Island Lunch, the Train Ride, etc.For the sports minded; there is tiger fishing, clay pigeon shooting, golf, hiking, gorge climbing, canoeing and kayaking, etc. For the culture minded; there is interactive drumming and dancing, cultural visits, museums, etc. For night life , the Zambezi Sun Resort Hotel has a casino, and several bars and restaurants. Located at the back of Faulty Towers on Limulunga Road is Hippos Bar and Restaurant which is a popular night spot for the younger crowd. Please remember to take a taxi after dark. Overnight again each night at the Chundukwa River Lodge .

Day 11 : Today you will be driven and cross into the country of Botswana by ferry at Kazangula and onwards to The Muchanje Lodge located deep with Chobe National Park where you will overnight. Lodge is fully inclusive with;

• Game drives in our open and truly comfortable 4×4 safari vehicles, with our knowledgeable and friendly professionally qualified guides – either early morning, afternoon or even the full day.

• Game viewing by boat on the Chobe River – to see huge herds of elephants, as well as many other mammals and birds attracted to the water’s edge..

• Bush walking-safaris to explore the intricacies of the bush with the opportunity to learn more about spoor, trees, plants and insect identification.

• “Night eyes” – night-time game driving after dinner with stoplights.

• Visits to the local village for a cultural experience and to meet the people that make Botswana the delightful county that it is.

Day 12 : Enjoy one of the activities provided by the Lodge. Over night again at The Muchenje Lodge.

Day 14: Early morning transfer to the Livingstone Airport for a flight to the city of Johannesburg, where you will catch an inter-continental flight to the city of Windhoek in the country of Namibia.
