Your 16 night / 17 day African tour starts at Johannesburg airport in the country of South Africa and ends at Dar es Salaam airport in the country of Tanzania , involving 5 inter-continental flights as shown by the red arrows below. The program is very diverse and exciting comprising Horse Riding in the Okavango Delta, Chobe National Park, the Victoria Falls area, and Zanzibar’s Stone Town and Beach Resort .You are guaranteed to see and experience the best of what Africa offers for the intrepid traveler.



Day 1: You will arrive into Johannesburg International airport in the country of South Africa and over night at the Southern Sun OR Tambo Airport Hotel .Client is responsible for taking shuttle or taxi to hotel which is located next to airport.
Day 2 , 3 and 4 : Take the regular daily flight from Johannesburg to Maun in the country of Botswana. A representative holding up a sign displaying your name will meet you and assist in helping you board a bush plane to Macatoo Camp in Abu Concession in the Okavango Delta.
Activities , meals, beverages, laundry all included with the stay.
The next 3 days will unfold as follows. 3 Night Itinerary ( Non Riding ) , 3 Night Itinerary (Riding)

Day 5 : You will board a small plane for a flight to Kasane . A representative will meet and transfer you by 4WD into the Chobe National Park and overnight at the Muchenje Lodge .The central lodge has a stunning panoramic view of the Caprivi flood plains and overlooks its own waterhole frequented by all species of game. Main lodge features dining area, bar, reception, curio shop, game viewing platform and library. Activities include game drives, night time game drives, walking safaris, river safari, and village trip. All activities, meals, beverages and laundry provided during the stay. Day 6 and 7 : Enjoy and safari out of the Muchenje Lodge.

Day 8: Today you will transfer overland to Victoria Falls at the town of Livingstone in the country of Zambia where you will be met by a representative holding up a sign displaying your last name. You will overnight at the The Zambezi Waterfront (B+B) in an Executive Room.
Day 9 and 10: These are free days to do whatever you like including activities from the list below. It is advisable to book some of these activities ahead of time if visiting during busy season. Overnight again at the Zambezi Waterfront.

Day 11 : Today is a travel day starting with flight from Livingstone to Lusaka, and then to the exotic archipelago of Zanzibar via Nairobi. Transfer to Stone Town, a UNESCO historical site on the main island of Unguja . Overnight at the Zanzibar Coffee House (B+B) . The Zanzibar Coffee House originates from around 1885 and was the elegant home of a minister to the Sultan. Each room is individually styled featuring beautiful floors and rare lamps, and are furnished with fine Arab style antiques creating a comfortable and cozy atmosphere. On the roof is a balustrade where breakfast is served and in the basement there is an authentic café and coffee roasting room.
Some of the Stone Town spots for night life that might appeal to the tourists include but are not limited to ;
Africa House Hotel which has the Sunset Bar to enjoy a beverage while the sun sets.
The Livingstone is a terraced seafront bar with good music playing other than on Friday evenings.
Mcheza Sports Café is a bar with a number of TV’s to watch sports.
Mercuy’s is a seaside bar with good food and beverage selection with occasional live music.
Dharma Lounge which is a small unpretentious bar with extended hours.
For those looking to mix with the locals at their level, there is the;
Magereza Club which features bands from the Dar es Salaam.
Komba Discotheque at the Bwawani Hotel.
Sterehe Club which plays a lot of reggae.
Day 12 : An English speaking guide will meet you at your hotel and take you out for a half day City Tour of Stone Town. You will tour the David Livingstone house of Wonder, the Palace Museum, Slave Market, the central market, while making your way through Stone Town’s narrow winging streets filled with shops , restaurants, etc. Overnight again at the Zanzibar Coffee House
Day 13 : Zanzibar is also known as the Spice Islands. An English speaking guide will pick you up at the hotel and take you out to a spice plantation for a Spice Tour including a traditional Swahili meal. You will see and be briefed on the many exotic fruits and spices locally grown, and there is also an opportunity to purchase spices. After the tour, transfer to Kendwa Beach , Unguja’s best beach in both low and high tides. Overnight at the Sunset Kendwa. (B+B) . Kendwa beach activities include, snorkeling, Zanzibar Deep Sea Fishing , kayak , sunset cruises, and there is PADI certified scuba diving shop next door called Scuba Do . There is also para-sailing, windsurfing , water skiing and paddle skiing available at another beach nearby.
It is advisable to book certain activities ahead of time particularly in the busy seasons.
Day 14, 15 & 16: Beach time overnighting each night at the Sunset Kendwa
Day 17 : Transfer to Zanzibar airport for flight to Dar es Salaam airport for connection home. End of program.
