We’re currently finishing up our time in Botswana – Muchejne is a beautiful lodge, and have seen endless game. The sheer numbers are mind boggling! Even cats – lions, including a pride at a kill, and also a leopard this morning. The canoe safari of the Lower Zambezi will doubtless be one of our most memorable times of this entire trip.  …….it was just a fantastic experience – if you don’t like roughing it , you wouldn’t enjoy it. But you have elephants and hippos sleeping next to your tent, the stars and silence are breathtaking, and the guide and assistant were super at keeping us safe.  You really do paddle your own canoe, along with all your gear … a lot of excitement dodging some angry hippos and crocs! Would recommend it to anyone who doesn’t need comfort, and wants to experience the “real” Africa.

Thoroughly enjoyed our time at Chundukwa, as well. They really make you feel at home … food was amazing! Swam in the devil’s pool, did the elephant encounter and ended up for 2 nights with 3 other couples from Calgary, all doing trips through you!
